At noon yesterday, Jay Bailey parked his 2011 Chevrolet SUV in the lot behind the Blue Goose Cantina on Greenville Avenue and went to lunch.

When he returned an hour later, he found that the lot had been targeted by a vehicle burglar. The rear window of an SUV parked nearby had been smashed, and the owner’s laptop and briefcase were gone.

Bailey’s window had also been broken, and the thief had stolen his laptop and brief case as well. But Bailey, a commercial real estate broker, was missing a few more things, namely a Remington 1100 shotgun, a Remington 243 rifle, and a Winchester .22 rifle.

I’ve emailed Bailey about the theft and will update when and if I hear back.
