So. This month, the thirteenth day of the month has fallen on a Friday. Dun, dun, dun!

Here in Dallas, that’s not necessarily a bad thing: Since midnight last night, folks have been flocking to Elm Street Tattoo for their $13 Friday the 13th tattoo as part of Oliver Peck’s annual marathon.

But those poor souls who suffer from friggatriskaidekaphobia are another case entirely. They’re no doubt locking their doors and hiding under their covers at this very moment as everybody else goes about their normal daily routines.

We here at DC9 aren’t a particularly superstitious lot. But we do get a kick out of themed holidays. So, on that note, we thought we’d celebrate today’s grim aspects by putting together a list of music videos that we find gruesome, spooky and downright terrifying — scarier, even, than grunge’s one-two punch of Pearl Jam’s “Jeremy” and Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun.” And, of course, there are 13 of them for you to watch.

$30,000

We’ve posted them for your viewing pleasure after the jump. Be warned, though: They’re not all fun to watch.

Health — “We Are Water”
This video is incredibly creepy. And the last minute is a total gore-fest.

Robbie Williams — “Rock DJ”
Robbie Williams gets naked, takes off his skin and tears pieces of his flesh around a roller disco rink. Ick!
