The greasy haired, cocktail clutching comedian Neil Hamburger often gets compared to Tony Clifton, the egotistical lounge singer who served as the alter ego of the late Andy Kaufman. But that’s unfair: Hamburger’s a much crueler bastard.
The self-proclaimed “King of Komedy” has an ingenious hook that most comedy club schlubs could only pray of achieving. His rote setups produce groans, both for their inept delivery and their deviant messages. But you gotta see him live to get it.
Parade of Flesh announced that Hamburger’s next Dallas set will take place on Jan. 9, 2014 at Sons of Hermann Hall. He’ll also be performing with solo acoustic guitarist and Sun City Girls founder Alvarius B, aka Alan Bishop.
