Last Friday Spoon announced a November 9 opening date. John Tesar’s latest fine dining experience is one of three high-profile restaurant openings in Dallas this fall, including FT-33 and Stampede 66.
A website is up and even though Open Table is accepting reservations as early as Wednesday, November 7, a representative for the restaurant assures me that that they will not be open till that Friday.
Tesar cites his time growing up on the East Coast for his inspiration for the seafood-themed restaurant, which will feature an open kitchen with an interactive dining counter, and a large raw bar serving oysters and crudo. Caviar is also mentioned prominently in a release about the restaurant, which seems tailored for the affluent Preston Hollow neighborhood even though Tesar promises the restaurant will be approachable enough to become a neighborhood staple.
Reservations opened Monday, October 29, noon and the opening weekend is still has openings at every time slot, according to Open Table.
