Remember when we told you that local filmmaker Toby Halbrooks’ first short film Dig was selected for the 2014 Sundance Film Festival? Well, he’s there now and he told me to tell all of you lovely people hello.
One of the cool Sundance things is watching the short films on YouTube, which is, of course, not as cool as being in Park City, Utah, attending film premieres, staying up late at film parties and hanging out in a jacuzzi with your new best friend Bradley Cooper (let a girl dream).
So even if the only time you’ll leave your cubicle today is to shuffle through the downtown tunnels to wait in a line at Chick-fil-a, you can get your taste of Sundance by plugging in some headphones for 10 minutes to watch Halbrooks’ short film. Unless, of course, your employer’s blocked YouTube. Then, well, it sucks to be you.
