Still No. 1. Despite the gaffes.
After that Monday night shootout – and considering they were 1-3 in last week’s rankings — anyone see a legit reason I shouldn’t have the Cowboys’ Tony Romo and Philly’s Donovan McNabb 1-2 this week?
Also impressive last weekend: Denver’s Jay Cutler and Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers. At the other end of the spectrum: Jon Kitna is a quitter, Tarvaris Jackson might be replaced by Gus Frerotte and is there any doubt that the Chiefs’ collection of misfits – how about four quarterbacks in two weeks — is the worst in the league?
Romo, however, needs to eliminate his silly mistakes. An interception in the end zone last week. A double-bobble-fumble in his own end zone this week. If these rankings were purely for entertainment value, Romo might be both 1 and 2.
