At 11:30 Saturday night, Mark Yeh, 19, was walking behind the Auto Zone on Park Lane, about a block from his home, when a green Ford Excursion stopped beside him. Yeh was grabbed and forced into the SUV by a handful of Hispanic men — maybe four, maybe five — who were armed with 9 mm pistols and AK-47s. They bound Yeh’s hands and feet, covered his head with a black hood, and punched him several time in the face.
“Where is the money? Do you want me to kill you?” one asked, according to a police report detailing the incident.
They took the $200 Yeh was carrying and his pair of Air Jordans, then stopped at the intersection of Abrams and Walnut Hill alongside a black Ford Explorer.
“We should take him to the farm and off him,” one of the men suggested. Instead, they cut the zip ties from Yeh’s hands and feet and drove away.
