They don’t call Darrell Jordan the “100 Hour Man” for nothing.
For those who think we only publish Sam Coats press releases verbatim, here’s one from Darrell Jordan, who today released his “100 Hour Plan,” which would involve a lot of talking — about crime. Says the release, Jordan’s “first 100 hours in office will be dedicated to a major crime reduction summit, “during which Jordan would assemble damned near everyone you can think of — from City Manager Mary Suhm to Dallas County District Attorney Craig Watkins to, um, Batman — and get them to solve the city’s crime problem.
“Crime is the biggest challenge we face as a city,” Jordan says in the release. “That is why our campaign scoured the country for the best crime-fighting ideas and incorporated them into a comprehensive Crime Reduction Plan, which is still the only detailed plan announced by any of the mayoral candidates.” The entirety of the “100 Hour Plan” can be read here. –Robert Wilonsky
