Ticket re-sale web site StubHub announced its annual “Most Rockin’ City of the Summer” list this morning, and, according to its numbers, Dallas, is the No. 7 most rockin’ city in the U.S. of A. this season. Or, for those of you playing at home, three spots up from last year.

Now, to be fair, the numbers are completely StubHub-centric, based on which cities use the site most often to exchange tickets over the summer season. So take it as you will. Or take it in this context: Dallas is a more “rockin'” city than everyone but New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Washington, DC.

Well, duh.

Unsurprisingly, it looks like the new Cowboys Stadium is the big reason behind the jump in standings, as the three highest-swapped tickets of the summer in the Dallas area are the three concerts that have taken place at the new facility: Last night’s Paul McCartney show, the Jonas Borthers’ show and the opening night George Strait show.
