West Village, man. It’s all Brooks Brothers and Cru Wine Bar, right? We were about to drive over for lunch but remembered that it’s all “No Corolla Parking” by city ordinance.
But revolution is afoot — at least for a couple of days this fall — when local artists and musicians occupy the neighborhood’s pristine tree-lined sidewalks fomenting Art Uprising in West Village, the first festival of its kind in the Uptown district.
Slated for September 21 through 23, the festival features juried work by more than 50 local artists and a silent auction benefiting Emergency Artist Support League (EASL). For a full schedule of events, check out the festival’s Facebook page. So save the dates, and while you’re at it, mark down the 43rd Annual Cottonwood Art Festival, recently set for October 6 through 7 in Richardson.
