Last week the LBJ Express folks were kind enough to provide us with this crude but nevertheless edutaining look at how traffic patterns were going to be shifted in advance of the pedestrian walkway boom that wasn’t, not yet. But this weekend, they insist the Monfort bridge demolition will take place as planned: “We recommend you avoid Montfort/I-635 intersection, if at all possible, between 7:00 PM Saturday, Sept. 17 and 12:00 NOON on Sunday, Sept. 18.” Don’t have to tell me … once.
That said, what you see above is a freshly minted look at what’s about to go down … to one lane just past the Dallas North Tollway as you head east on LBJ. At least the music’s calming.
