It’s been a little more than a year since ex-White House Counsel and so-close Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers returned to work at her old law firm, Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell on Ross Avenue. Haven’t much heard from the former Dallas City Council member in a while; last we looked this morning, she was still telling a federal judge in D.C. she doesn’t have to testify before the U.S. House Judiciary Committee about the firing of those nine U.S. attorneys last year. Besides, look, she’s busy: Word today is that Miers is now “a lobbyist for the Embassy of Pakistan and the Pakistan Peoples Party.” –Robert Wilonsky
