Last time Friend of Unfair Park PeterK directed our attention to a vintage Dallas photo for sale on eBay, we drove up the $9.99 opening bid to a whopping sale price of $23.50, what a deal. This one’s not quite so action-packed as a four-alarm fire in the Wilson Building, but it should be of interest to Dallas media history buffs: a photo of construction workers posed in front of the under-construction original Dallas News building on Commerce Street, between Lamar and Austin streets, on the back of which it reads in pencil, “This is the building I am working on it is the Dallas News.” The New York-based seller wants at least $24.50, but will be happy to throw in a copy of Briefing for free.
