On Saturday morning in Norman, Oklahoma, officer John Terry was called to an apartment complex, where a man was sleeping in a car that had been allegedly stolen. Terry confronted the dude, who then tried to drive off — while dragging Terry along for the ride. The officer had enough and shot the man in the chest with a .40-caliber pistol — which must have made quite the mess, as the man had been sleeping in the nude. Today, Norman residents found out the name of the “naked suspect,” Sang Van Nguyen, who’s currently recuperating in a Norman hospital. And, of course: He “is believed to be a resident of the Dallas metropolitan area,” where, the story fails to note, sleeping in your allegedly stolen car while naked is far more acceptable than in Oklahoma. –Robert Wilonsky
