If you’re traveling this holiday season, take note: USA Today has reviewed the food-inspection records for 10 airports — including, of course, Dallas-Fort Worth International — and dug up some unappetizing demerits. The story in this morning’s paper doesn’t detail the findings at DFW, but does point us in the right direction: this Tarrant County Public Health site, where five numbers (75261, the airport’s zip code) reveal violations small (Heimlich maneuver signs not posted) and otherwise. Most common violation: Food’s not properly refrigerated. Says Tarrant County inspector David Jefferson, “The grab-and-go sandwich problem, it’s a constant battle.” Yes, before you eat it. And, after.
