Hey, remember last Friday, when we mentioned that Rolling Stone article in which Wayne Coyne mentioned he’d like to collaborate with Erykah Badu? And how that would probably be a good idea? Well, she got in her Badumobile and gunned it to Klearlight Studio in order to restore balance to the universe.
After seeing some tweets last night from Daniel Huffman, who performs as New Fumes, mentioning he was at Klearlight with Badu and Coyne, I dashed off an email and demanded the important details.
“She was wearing black leggings, a white t-shirt and a green jacket. White slip-on shoes. Dressed like a casual mom.”
Huffman also mentions Coyne brought two songs for her to sing on. “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” by Roberta Flack and “a funk jam of sorts that she freestyled over.”

Sounds promising. But, seriously, who do we talk to about getting a Yoko Ono/Erykah Badu collaboration going? Should we write that on a list to the universe, like The Secret?
