Wow. I just stumbled upon a video of Dallas underground — way underground — MC Jimbo Jenkens flexing his crazy free-style skills. Aside from the rap itself, my favorite part is the occasional flash of the rake on the garage wall. According to his MySpace page, Jenkens is a poet, writer and musician, who, if he had to choose a way to die, would “be impaled by a falling star.” Not your usual stuff from an MC who name checks Oak Cliff and Pleasant Grove. Also check another of his songs, “The Art of War,” while I try to find out more about him. — Jonanna Widner
