Your daily dose of national music news for Tuesday, February 17, 2009…
- Metallica is now embracing digital music… as long as “digital music” doesn’t mean “illegal downloads”. The band is releasing its entire music catalogue digitally via iTunes on March 31 and then everywhere else on April 28.
- Trent Reznor may be pulling the plug on Nine Inch Nails’ future touring. He posted a note on the NIN website stating that his band will tour with Jane’s Addiction this year and that it could possibly be the band’s last.
- Suge Knight was assaulted by an associate of Akon early yesterday morning. Apparently the two engaged in some fisticuffs and Suge had his face broken! Ouch. Somewhere, Vanilla Ice is thinking that being hung off of a balcony by his feet doesn’t sound so bad…
- A nude picture of a young Madonna sold for $37,000. Apparently the buyer didn’t purchase her Sex book from the ’90s. Or know how to use the internet. Personally, I feel bad for him. This (NSFW) is the picture he bought. I guess there is such a thing as “that ’70s bush”…
