Your daily dose of national music news for Friday, March 20, 2009…
- Lil Wayne and Scott Weiland are just two of the upcoming subjects on VH1’s relaunched Behind The Music.
- Looks like Courtney Love is the only one who made any money from a publishing deal to license Nirvana’s music. The company that bought the band’s catalogue, Primary Wave, has only made $2 million, since it signed the deal two years ago. Nothing to sneeze at, but, other artists (new and old) have made several million off licensing their music. Somewhere Kurt is laughing his ass off…
- I guess The Stone Roses won’t be getting back together after all. I knew it was too good to be true. Guitarist John Squire took to BBC Newsnight (and his website) to tell the everyone it’s not going to happen. I knew it was too good to be true, now I’m sad.
