Shiny Around The Edges has a great new track up on its MySpace page: a live version of “I Hover Above You”, recorded at Sons of Hermann Hall back in February.
But even better than the live version is the news that you’ll soon be able to hear the studio take. The band’s upcoming album is complete and ready for release, perhaps as soon as the fall–good thing too, as the band says it has sold out of pretty much everything else.
Maybe you can start a merch-table bidding war on the last remaining T-shirt or seven-inch at their next gig, opening for Record Hop at Rubber Gloves on July 31. —Jesse Hughey
