Denton’s Rodney Parker & 50 Peso Reward have proffered a couple of really interesting records in the past couple of years, such as their EP The Apology Part I, and last year’s excellently stripped down Live in the Living Room.
In January, the band will release their next record (as yet untitled), but there are a couple of tunes ready for folks to hear, and the band was kind enough to pass them along to us to share with you, the naughty but nice DC9 reader. Both “The Things You Make Me Do” and “I Thought Your Eyes Were Blue” mark a return to the heartland-rock vibe that has become their signature over the years. Enjoy, and let them tide you over until the new record is released.
