With lyricist and frontman Andrew Savage now in New York City, focusing his musical efforts on Fergus & Geronimo and Parquet Courts, Teenage Cool Kids return to Denton for what is being billed as the band’s “last Denton show.” For the unfamiliar, the act recorded two of the best local releases of the last decade, and when Denton After Sunset dropped in December of 2011 on Dull Tools, the label billed the album as “a swan song to the city its existence was mandated by.” This “Dull Tools Presents” show also features Beth Israel from Austin and two not-to-be-missed local openers: Hot Times and Adult Books, featuring members of Teenage Cool Kids and Final Club.
