Roughly two years of buzz later, Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, also known as Odd Future, are finally making a non-SXSW Texas appearance. Collective members Frank Ocean and Earl Sweatshirt have certainly enjoyed continued success, with co-founder Tyler, the Creator representing on plenty of guest verses and generally living up to the group’s initial potential. With little new material from the group since their controversial debut in 2011, more curiosity than urgency surrounds this upcoming tour. Still, the Odd Future sets of that year’s SXSW live on as some of the most raw, energetic and dynamic hip-hop shows I have seen. Even if OFWGKTA are unable to deliver something new, they will certainly offer something cathartic.
