Oaktopia is still about six weeks away, but it’s already shaping up to be a pretty good festival this year. What started as the little-hip-hop-festival-that-could just a few years ago has developed a pretty eclectic lineup of indie and emerging rap talent, from Rae Sremmurd to Andrew W.K. to the Dallas Queen herself, Erykah Badu — or, uh, DJ Lo Down Loretta Brown.

But now they’ve added one more major piece to the puzzle, and it’s another homegrown talent of note: Norah Jones. The Grapevine native and nine-time Grammy winner hasn’t been on the road much in recent years, with her last North Texas appearance taking place all the way back in 2012. She hasn’t played in Denton since she studied at UNT. So hey, not a bad get for Oaktopia.

“We are excited to have Norah return to Denton as a headlining performer at Oaktopia,” says Midlake member and Oaktopia director Eric Pulido, in a press release. “Norah’s music catalog is outstanding and her live performances are incredible. It’s going to be a very special night indeed!”

Organizers say Jones marks the last major announcement for this year’s festival, which has a deeper lineup than 2015 and a pretty good case to be the best festival in the area this year. Time will tell, of course. In the meantime, one-day general admission passes are on sale for $30, and three-days are available for $85. (Three-day VIP passes run $200.) Tickets are on sale for the festival at oaktopia.com.

Oaktopia takes place from September 22 to 24 in Denton.
