Cee-Lo Green, formerly of the Goodie Mob and Gnarls Barkley, released one of the greatest songs in the history of humankind last week.
It’s called “Fuck You” (NSFW) and it’s full of modern poetry. But, beyond it’s lyrical genius, “Fuck You” has an indescribable, unique quality that’s just perfect for mashing up with movie soundtracks.
Which lead us to this idea: What would happen if you replaced “F**k You” with the songs in some of the greatest moments in movie-music matchmaking history? Well, we’re gonna show you.
After the jump, we provide you with three examples of how this brilliant song mashes-up with Dirty Dancing, Shawshank Redemption and (because we just had to) Say Anything. Enjoy.

Cee-Lo in Shawshank Redemption

…because you shouldn’t have to go to this extent to get the girl.
Cee-Lo in Dirty Dancing
…because nobody puts Baby in a corner.
