So, lately, pretty much the only thing on the minds of, well, everyone seems to be ways of refraining from getting any small strain of any sort of sickness–especially the infamous H1N1. Those who haven’t been infected, pat yourself on the back and keep soaking up the Purell.

10. Band Of Horses – “The General Specific”
The clapping throughout the song is a sure tissue dropper. This song is great for transforming pretty much any bad day into, well, a good one.
9. Ben Kweller – “Penny On The Train Track”
Kweller always serenades us with clever lyrics about his life, and this one just happens to be a little more poppy than most. Lately, he’s been leaning a bit country with his latest album, Changing Horses.

Before you skip this one thinking it’s another slow song with words you won’t understand, give it a chance. It’s still in Icelandic, but this is one of Sigur Rós’ only fast-paced numbers.
5. Los Amigos Invisibles – “Mentiras”
It’s a Latin-disco-techno group that just hit Austin City Limits-definitely something you can easily nodding your feverish, aching head to.
4. Whiskey Folk Ramblers – “Midnight Drifter”
These Ft. Worth natives are a sure way to wake you up. The six-minute rollercoaster can fix those droopy eyes and blow the eye-crust right off.
3. Brave Combo – “Honga”
If you’ve ever been to a Brave Combo show, you know why this had to be on here. It’s a necessity for this band to have space for people to dance.
