Back in the spring, the latest single from Norwegian electronica duo, Röyksopp, “This Must Be It” started making rounds within the dance blog circuit, thanks in part to the plenty-adored act’s clout, but also to the song’s heavy, danceable sound.
Well, today comes news that the single still won’t see its release until later this fall–not till October 26, in fact–but, for at least one local, the release will be well worth the wait.
How so? Well, ’cause 10 remix artists have been commissioned to offer up their takes on the track, all of which will be released alongside the single. Among that list? Grand Prairie’ own noted mash-up artist, LehtMoJoe, who, you might remember, finally got around to releasing a disc of his own material earlier this summer.
Consider this another major coup for LehtMoJoe, aka Vincent Sliva, who already counts Mark Ronson and others among his fans. Joining LehtMoJoe in Röyksopp’s remix project is an international crew of likeminded remixers: Thin White Duke, Apparat, Danton Eeprom, Florian Meindl, Maxime Dangles, Moguai, Pete Herbert, Rex the Dog and The Bloody Sisters (TBS).
