Fort Worth jam-punk-folk collective KatsuK is fronted by the Ian Anderson-esque Daniel KatsuK, former frontman of the indispensable Spoonfed Tribe back in the late ’90s and early aughts. Shortly after the Tribe disbanded, he moved to Colorado, but returned to North Texas in 2008 to form his critically acclaimed new band. Fort Worth already knows and loves them, and they have shared bills with international acts including Railroad Earth, Cowboy Mouth and Texas blues legend Ian Moore. They will be promoting their most recent 15-track album, Zero Point. It’s time for the rest of DFW to see what Fort Worth music enthusiasts have been raving about.
