Marcus Luera wants to be known as a hood DJ. But Luera, a.k.a. DJ InternetTrapGod, pulls his musical influences from mostly folk and indie music, citing Circa Survive and Bon Iver as main influences. He just has a very distinct philosophy as a DJ: Cater to the female crowd, get them dancing and feeling good, and you’ll have the vibe of a venue at your fingertips.
Growing up in Oak Cliff, before the days of Bishop Arts, Luera would mine music video channels to find new music, fascinated by different sounds and styles. Luera prides himself on being able to play at any club, to any audience, by analyzing the energy of the room and freestyling his sessions.
