Over on Wired.com, there’s a pretty cool story up, detailing the specs of the new stage set-up for U2’s impending world tour, which kicks off tonight in Barcelona. Probably right about now, in fact.
Anyway, it’s a massive undertaking with huge screens and elaborate mechanisms. The idea, basically? To somehow turn a stadium performance into an intimate one. After the jump, check the video portion of the story.
And then start wondering to yourself if/how the band will pull this off at Cowboys Stadium on October 12 when the band rolls through North Texas. Seems Jerry Jones’ massive HD screens hanging from the ceiling might get in the way, no?
