Artist, photographer and videographer Hal Samples has helped document, promote, inspire and nurture up-and-coming talent in the community for nearly a decade. So, when he needed help, it was no surprise local bands and artists pulled together for a benefit show. Seems Samples has fallen on some hard times in regards to his health, according to the Club Dada invite. The work of several talented artists, photographers and designers will be on display for a silent auction, and the benefit features a solid lineup, with performances by GalleryCat, Hares On the Mountain, Yells At Eels, Seryn and Psycho Sonics, as well as Mike Graff (Course of Empire), Dallas musician and producer Mike Daane (Ugly Mustard, Sparrows, Last Rites, Sara Hickman) and Duncan Black (Mousetrap, ICBM, Descender) all playing together. Doors open at 6 p.m., with a $10 suggested donation for cover.
