In this past week’s print edition, Observer dance music junkie Catherine Downes checked in to say this about Crystal Castles:

A mishmash of borrowed and new, topped off with a trendy garnish, Crystal Castles’ synth-thrash is unpredictable and, at times, sporadic–but most definitely worth checking out. As is the band’s equally chaotic live show.

She said other things, too, like how the band took its name from She-Ra and not from the video game of the same name. But that’s not important–not for now, at least, as there’s more pressing matters, like how we have three pairs of tickets, courtesy of the Granada Theater, to give away to tomorrow night’s dancefest, which will also feature former Dallasite, VEGA, opening up the show.Want ’em? They’re yours–assuming you’re one of the first three people to email me right now with the phrase “Crimewave” in the subject line. Good luck!
