Up-and-coming old-school blues act Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears hasn’t been around very long, but they’re quickly gaining a lot of steam. And it certainly didn’t take long for Black Joe to get noticed in Austin’s large music community after starting out in 2007; Spoon drummer Jim Eno took note of his raw sound and helped record his full-length debut, Tell ‘Em What Your Name Is.
Though his regular shows take place just a few hours south of here, we highly encourage you to check out his show tomorrow Friday night at The Loft. Expect a crowd: Over the past few years Lewis and his Honeybears have gained a steady following in these parts, too.
And, thanks to the folks over at The Loft, we have three pairs of tickets to give away to some lucky DC9 readers. The first three people to email me with “Bitch, I Love You” in the subject line win the free passes. Good Luck.
Update: Contest is over. Congrats to our winners!
