There’s no doubting that there’s certain appeal to Semi-Precious Weapons, who, for some time now, have been pretty much the undisputed kings of the New York City glam-rock scene. The above clip, with its pretty darn hilarious hook (“I can’t pay my rent, but I’m fucking gorgeous”), does a decent job of showing why.
And, no doubt, with the band’s signing to Interscope Records (and its support from Lady Gaga, who, you may recall, crowd-surfed during her former tour-openers’ set at Lollapalooza this summer), the band’s only getting bigger and bigger.
So, surely, the band’s appearance in the intimate confines of The Loft won’t be something we’ll be seeing too much more of in the distant future–not, at least, if Gaga and her monsters have anything to do with it.
