In this week’s paper, Daniel Hopkins caught up with Women‘s Patrick Flegel to talk about the band’s fast ascent and its continued progression–something, Hopkins learns, that’s been spurred along by the band’s attempts to write songs as it plays upwards of 200 shows a year. Which is fine by the band, Flegel told Hopkins. Playing that many shows, Flegel swears, is what the band would be doing with or without its suddenly buzzworthy tag.

“If everyone hated [our music] and we were playing to 15 people, we’d probably just do the same thing we’re doing anyway,” Flegel says.
Still, here’s hoping the band draws more than 15 people out to The Nightmare tomorrow night as it stops through Dallas. With its “meticulously sculpted songs,” that much probably won’t be a problem. But, thanks to the folks at Parade of Flesh, who are putting on this show tomorrow night, we’ve got a free pair of tickets to hand out and bolster the crowd numbers. Want the pair?
