As supergroups go, you really can’t do much better than Arson Anthem: The hardcore group, which has been around for, oh, four years or so now, features Pantera’s Phil Anselmo, Eyehategod’s Mike Williams and Hank Williams III — or, in other words, way more star power than most of the bands that are booked to play gigs at Fort Worth’s The Rail Club. And yet that’s just where that group will be tonight, kicking off a short six-date tour that it’ll embark on with area metal favorites Warbeast and up-and-coming New Orleans sludge metal act haarp.
Far as I can recall this show, which will also feature sets from a couple other Texas acts in Turbid North and Burndown, is the biggest that The Rail Club’s ever scene — never mind the fact that this show is also serving as the iconic Anselmo’s first gig in the region since 2004. As such, VIP and meet-and-greet passes have long been sold-out. And, no surprise here, the $20 to $25 tickets available at the door aren’t expected to last very long, either.
But, thanks to the far-kinder-than-they-appear gents in Warbeast, we’ve got your way in — for free, no less. The DOMA-nominated act has been kind enough to pass along a free pair of tickets to one DC9 reader interested in scoring a way in to this sure-to-be-packed show.
Find out how to win the free passes after the jump.
