Some folks may know transplanted Bostonite Luna Matto for her work as a member of The Polyphonic Spree’s chorus. But you may or may not know that Ms. Matto was writing songs long before she entered the Spree conglomerate some four years ago. And, these days, Matto’s own band includes Nick Groesch and Kristin Hard, two other Spree alums.

Matto’s debut solo effort came out in May and she actually has another recording already planned for August. Busy gal.

But despite the workload, Matto’s songs are detailed and lovely compositions. Anyhow, check out “Fanzini” from Matto’s debut after the jump, then seriously think about checking her out tonight when she plays as part of the Home Sessions series at City Tavern.
