After shaking up the Kerrville Folk Festival, Fort Worth’s outlaw country diva Glitter Rose played Poor David’s Pub last week and is now packing her bags for Nashville.

Rose has been invited to perform at the NAMM Summer Conference, June 20-22. (That’s the National Association of Music Merchants for the acronym challenged.)

Rose is happy to represent her guitar line, The Glitter Rose Series by Jon Kammerer as well as her most recent endorsee, Moody Leather. She’s been crisscrossing Texas ever since her most recent effort, Southern Comfort, came out late last year. Cultivating her bad girl persona while perfecting her punch in the face brand of country rock, Rose is, if anything else, an ear and an eyeful. Perhaps not the best representative the area has to offer, Rose is at least capable of shaking up a city as notoriously mind-numbing as Nashville. –Darryl Smyers
