The singer-songwriter is on tour after releasing her all-acoustic album back in October, Unknown Rooms, A Collection of Acoustic Songs, which followed up the darker songs of 2011’s Apokalypsis.
The Band of Heathens Saturday, March 23, at Granada Theater, $19-$35 Austin’s Americana and roots quintet The Band of Heathens is one of those bands you know immediately whether you like or not. Go listen to their bluesy acoustic song “Somebody Tell the Truth” to find out.

Mindless Self Indulgence Tuesday, April 2, at House of Blues, $25 Wow, this takes me back. See the industrial/techno/goth group Mindless Self Indulgence this spring, as they make their way through Texas for what I’m assuming is an effort to stir up buzz for an upcoming 2013 release. Surely there’s no way they won’t play the jams, especially from their best work, Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy.
