Lots of news out of Centro-matic camp this weekend, as the adored Denton-sprung rock outfit, which headlined thus year’s New Year’s Eve festivities at the Kessler Theater, has announced plans for a new album, called Candidate Waltz, to be released in April.
Meanwhile, that’s the art for the upcoming release in the image there to the right — or so the band’s just-released music video for the album’s driving lead sing, “Only In My Double Mind” would imply. In the video, frontman Will Johnson combines his loves of music and painting, as he plays his guitar and paints the image onto a warehouse wall. Give the clip a watch after the jump.
And consider it something of a teaser clip, too: The band has also announced, via Twitter, that the live DVD it filmed back in 2008 at the Granada Theater should also see release this spring.
