Hailing from Austin, Dead Earth Politics claims all of the cool metal influences: Iron Maiden, Lamb of God, Slayer, Mastodon, etc. And surprisingly, the quartet does incorporate most of them into its loud and dense onslaught. Lead vocalist Ven Scott was gracious enough to send over a track off the band’s new album, Target Rich. The cut is called “Dos Cuerpos.” Check it out after the jump.
Not shabby metal if you ask me. There’s nothing wrong with a banging head, so long as the head has a brain in it. Noise without purpose is just a headache waiting to happen and Dead Earth Politics appears to show enough restraint to stay above the fray.
