It was recorded at the Majestic Theater on October 16, 2004, when Henry James Townsend, Joe Willie “Pinetop” Perkins, Robert Lockwood Jr. and David “Honeyboy” Edwards came to town to reclaim Dallas’ “place as a blues capitol,” says the MySpace page set up by the Blue Shoe Project, which recorded and released the album last year. Also nominated in the for Best Traditional Blues Album: Pinetop Perkins, Otis Rush, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Koko Taylor . — Robert Wilonsky
