Black Friday and the ensuing shopping season is enough to make anyone hate the holiday season, considering all the tramplings and taserings and general insanity that accompany it. There’s cause to not give up on humanity though: the holidays provide a glut of opportunities to to give to charity and philanthropy, and it’s the time of year people are mot likely to take act on them.
One of the best-known holiday charities is Toys for Tots, and this weekend you’ll have the chance to support them while binging on cupcakes, hot dogs and tacos. Saturday is Trucks for Tots, the gathering of Dallas and Fort Worth food trucks at The Shops at Park Lane, 8080 Park Lane in Dallas.

Some of the charitable trucks include Cajun Tailgators, Cupcakin’, Doughboys, Easy Slider, Eat Jo Dawgs, Good Karma, Nammi, Parrot Ice, Pompeii, Rock ‘n’ Roll Tacos, Ruthie’s and Simply Dosa. Entry is free though all attendees are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy. There will also be pictures with Santa, live music and, most importantly, a bounce house.
