The Joule Hotel has been undergoing some major renovations and developments for years, and there are more changes in the works.
The most recent additions include high-end retail shops, the swank Weekend Coffee and a new lobby bar. By the end of the year, a new restaurant, CBD Provisions, will open, an organic, local and sustainable concept. There’s also new cocktail lounge in the works, Mirth & Refuge. The latter two, expected to open this fall, are both concepts of Dallas-based Consilient Restaurants, whose repertoire include Hibiscus, Fireside Pies, The Porch and Victor Tangos.
Last year, the hotel announced plans to change Charlie Palmer to a steak concept under the same name, but last night they said, “Nah, nevermind,” and took the sign down. Now Charlie Palmer is out at the Joule and it’s just a Joule restaurant, but will have the same menu and hopefully these pastrami sandwiches Scott Reitz liked so much.
CBD Provisions and Mirth and Refuge will open, hopefully, this fall.
