Happy Eating points you to the best happy hour food deals in Dallas. This week, we’re stopping by Tei-An and Jorge’s Tex-Mex Cafe to explore the offerings of One Arts Plaza’s Happy Hour Tuesday.
Where: One Arts Plaza 1722 Routh St. When: Tuesdays, 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. at Tei-An and 5 p.m-close at Jorge’s. The Scene: Tei-An is subdued and offers little in regards to Happy Hour Tuesday, but Jorge’s is hopping. Their popular $5 Tuesday menu is available throughout the restaurant. The Deal: Tei-An offers free edamame with purchase of a $5 saki sangria or $5 Kirin draft. Jorge’s has a Tuesday happy hour menu of brisket tacos, quesadillas, crunchy tacos and sliders. The Tex-Mex restaurant also offers a Monday-Friday happy hour menu ($1 tacos!) from 2 p.m.-6 p.m. The Con: Wish Tei-An offered a bit more. As for Jorge’s, the portions are small and seem overpriced even for $5. Lushworthy: Tei-An’s saki sangria is not only a beauty to look at, but is tasty and refreshing as heck.
Bottom Line: If you’re seeking out a lively atmosphere, Jorge’s is for you. If you’re in search for a good meal and don’t mind spending a bit more, sip some saki sangria and snack on some free edamame before dining at Tei-An.
