Something new is blooming in Dallas. And it’s unlikely to cause an allergic reaction.

Newflower Farmers Market opened its newest Texas location at 1800 N. Henderson Ave. The store offers all-natural and organic products, including local produce, meats, seafood, and bulk foods.

The first 200 customers this morning received a gift-with-purchase of reusable shopping bags filled with Newflower’s health-conscious groceries. For us less-than-early birds Newflower will continue the day of fun, food and other great giveaways, along with free samples of Newflower products. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., today an on-site barbeque turns out free samples of all-natural Harris Ranch beef. If all that celebrating tires you out, take advantage of complimentary chair massages.

Besides claiming the “silliest prices” in town (not sure what that means, really), Newflower Farmers Market Dallas location is also one of the most eco-friendly and eco-conscious grocery stores around. (Move over, Whole Foods!) It has energy efficient light fixtures, uses recycled and refurbished equipment and cases whenever possible, and its cash registers use double-sided receipts to reduce paper waste by 40 percent.
