The Ion Network’s The World’s Greatest!… was filming for an upcoming episode at the Oak Lawn Avenue location of Eatzi’s today. The show profiles businesses that excel in the products and services they provide their customers. Adam Romo, the CEO of the store, had hoped Bakery and Market would follow the ellipsis in the show’s title, but the producers chose “Restaurant” instead.
Cameras flooded the market this afternoon, grabbing footage of perfectly staged sample trays and customers shopping as Eatzi’s trademark opera music poured from the market’s speakers. (Check out their website if you’d like to sample some.)
Romo thinks the show will air sometime in March, which is about the same time the Grapevine location of the market chain will open. Another store in Plano is expected to open a year after that.
