As part of my master plan to ravenously devour every square mile surrounding my new home in East Dallas, both culinary and culturally (picture a pink, cupcake-shaped Pac-Man character eating her way down Grand Avenue), I came upon something oddly alluring.
It was the White Rock Local Market.
My first attempt to chew on the market resulted in my being too late to the table. My weekend brunch brain told me to take my sweet, carb-laden time getting there, but then their website informed me that it had ended at 3 pm. Not to feel defeated for too long, I discovered that there is another White Rock Local Market coming up this very Saturday, And this time it’s holiday-themed.
If you’re looking for somewhere to drop some holiday cash, and perhaps procure a hair accessory, essential oils, hand-knitted baby hats, some beef jerky, some zip code honey, a lard-free tamale, a hula hoop, some metal furniture, dog treats, handmade pickles, sock monkeys or one of the countless other types of items for sale at the market, here are the details:
