The two founders of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, will be at the University of Texas at Arlington as part of the Maverick Speaker Series on November 17. They will discuss their “entrepreneurial spirit, social responsibility and radical business philosophy,” which has paved the road to their unconventional American business success story. What began as a single storefront is now a $300 million ice cream empire.
This year Ben & Jerry were named the James Beard Humanitarians of the Year and the Peace Museum’s Community Peacemakers of the Year.
The lecture will begin at 7:30 p.m.Thursday, November 17, at Texas Hall on the UTA campus. Preferred seating tickets cost $25. The first 1,000 attendees receive free ice cream.
