With the city’s best bar food (at least according to some) and its impressive selection of import beers, there’s hardly ever a bad night to go to The Libertine. But if you were waiting for an occasion, you could hardly do better than tomorrow night’s five-course beer dinner, with includes a round of Germany’s Spaten.

What better way to celebrate Kindergarten Day?

Rather than feature offerings from a particular brewery, this dinner will feature a mix of imports and domestic craft beers–including two Texas brews, Live Oak Hefe Weizen (to wash down the shrimp and corn bisque) and St. Arnold Brown Ale (which will complement the grilled eggplant with pine nuts and balsamic drizzle), as well as the aforementioned German brand. Full menu is at the Libertine web site.

The event costs $50. Reservations are required and available by calling the restaurant at 214-824-7900.
